Visit Our Emergency Dentist to Save Your Smile
Postponing treatment only complicates a seemingly simple condition. Did you know, for example, that a temporary crown not only protects your tooth surface but also maintains the spacing of your surrounding teeth? A lost temporary crown can cause a permanent crown to fit improperly.
When you have an issue, contact our office so that Dr. Ranchod can see you as soon as possible. Our top priority is to protect your smile. We do this with conservative treatments, preferring to prevent procedures with early intervention – an approach that is not possible when you avoid emergency dental care.
What to Do When Dental Trauma Dislodges Your Tooth
A tooth lost to dental trauma requires special handling and must be immediately replaced in order to restore function. If your tooth has been knocked out of its socket, follow these critical steps:
- Contact our office for emergency dental care from Dr. Ranchod.
- Pick up the tooth by handling the crown only and place it back in the socket, if possible.
- Transport the tooth either in its socket, in the cheek or gums, or in milk. Never place the tooth in water or any liquid other than saliva or milk.
